In BICE, however, it seems nobody except for Germany, USSR, UK and USA can do anything, and even then, the game usually ends as such: The Germans duke it out with the USSR as the USSR gets more and more buffs. In the base game of HoI3, you can change the course of the war quite easily (so long as you are playing as a medium sized nation at the least). The mod itself seems to be just a graphics overhaul flooded with unit types, modifiers, events, and such. It is commonly referred to as the 'essential' overhaul for HoI3, and is hailed as the best thing to happen to the game.īut with my admittedly limited experience with the mod (maybe 30 hours), I must ask, is it REALLY that much better? I am sure everybody on this subreddit who owns Hearts of Iron 3 knows very well what the BlackICE mod is. I definitely appreciate the hard work the BICE team has put into the mod.
